Shara Gabaldon is a devoted mother of four. In 2022, her son Jordan — an autistic teen diagnosed with schizophrenia and ADHD — tragically took his own life. From that profound loss, a legacy was born.
In 2024, Shara launched JORDAN (Joining Our Resources, Driving Awareness Nationwide) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Sacramento, CA — to turn heartbreak into hope. The organization exists to drive mental health awareness, amplify the stories of underserved families, and ensure no one walks this path alone.
Through education, advocacy, and accessible resources, JORDAN is building a movement for policy change, dignity-first support, and emotional justice. Shara’s mission is clear: equip survivors with the power to lead, speak, and heal — starting with themselves, and rippling out from there.
Your support helps us honor Jordan’s legacy by expanding mental health awareness, resources, and community education. Whether you're a survivor, advocate, donor, or ally — there's a place for you here.
